Hi, it’s great to have you here!

I’m Alice, a mum of two little boys and passionate about creating story books that help you communicate tricky issues with little ones.

When I was pregnant with my second child, I found a lack of resources to help talk to my toddler about the changes he’d experience after I had a planned c-section.

Although we talked about what I wouldn’t be able to do, we also talked about still having lots of cuddles! And from there, the idea to write β€˜Mummy has an Ouchie on her Tummy’ was born.

Mummy has an Ouchie on her Tummy

When Mummy has given birth to their baby brother or sister via c-section, it can be difficult for young children to understand why their Mummy can’t pick them up for a cuddle, carry them to bed or go swimming with them. All the little things toddlers expect!

This book helps prepare little ones for the short-term changes they experience with their Mummy during this time of family growth.

Mummy can’t do some things for a little while but she always shows her love!

I'm a dog-loving mum who gets to illustrate and design books for a living – how cool is that? As a bookworm and visual creative, I love sharing my work with amazing authors and my daughter.

My eclectic career has included dog grooming, performing with Disney on Ice, and commercial design/illustration (even for the Wiggles!), and now I'm living the dream as a book designer for Scholastic Australia and a freelance illustrator.
